Special Design for 29 October by Google

It was 29 October yesterday and it was a special day for Turkey. 29 October is Turkey's most important patriotic national holiday, eventhough I worked that day..

On October 29, 1983, the Turkish constitution was amended and Turkey became a republic. This formally declared the dissolution of the Ottoman Empire. Republic day is celebrated throughout Turkey every year. We celebrated the 87th aniversy of the Republic day this year.

For this, Google.com had a special logo for the Turkish Republic day. It was looking really great and so honourary. May be most of you saw that logo but I would like to share it with you in any case..

INTERNATIONAL CAPS LOCK DAY

I was surfing on the internet and I just saw that today's date is "International Caps Lock Day." WHAT...?  I couldn't believe in my eyes.. I thought that should be a joke, like April fools day, but it's not

I wanted to learn if it's real and I searched for it. The most trustfull site, wikipedia, is explaining everthing.. After reading the article about caps lock I saw that International Caps Lock Day is celebrating since 2000. The most incredible thing is it's celebrating twice a year.. Right..! 22 October and  28 June are marked as International Caps Lock Day.. 

What can say for this. HAPPY CAPS LOCK DAY..

Central Park: Imagine, Feeling and Passion..

Central Park.. I don't think so there is another park in the world that can inspire to the movie makers, authors, poets and absolutely lovers..  You feel like that you are in a different world when you enter the park. Firstly, it's impossible to walk the park entirely in one day. If you already plot a course, I think it's better to reschedule it. After my each visit to the Central Park, I always think the same thing: "I should go there again!" There is a mystical connection with it. Once you breath the air of it, you'll not get rid of it very easily.

As it like in the song New York the concrete jungle. The construction and the nature is charming you. There are some lakes in the park with different sizes. In one of these lakes, you can rent a boat. If you never paddled before, probably you'll feel pain on your arms. And it's better to take your suncream with you before you go there. Otherwise you could look like a lobster at the end  of the day.

The one of the special thing that you should see in there is the "Strawberry Fields." Here is an explanation of the Strawberry Fields for people don't know any thing about it. Firstly it's not a real strawberry field. Thinking like that could sound silly. Strawberry Fields is a memorial that dedicated to the musician John Lennon by his widow Yoko Ono. There is a single word in the middle of the memorial: "Imagine." It's also John Lennon's famous song's name.

You can also see the John Lennon's house from the park. Dakato Apartments, where he had lived his last times in there and also was murdered infront of it.

In the spring time, you can see the different kinds of flowers in different colors. Even though it's not a botanical garden, it makes sense on you like a botanical garden.

 

 

                                          

While you are moving around in the park, don't forget to move your head up. You can see the sky in a whole new light. I'm sure it will cheer you up. It's amazing to see this king of huge park in the middle of the high buildings. At that time probably you will start to think to same thing: People who are living in these buildings, are lucky to have the view of the park.

If you are addict to photography, this trip would be a unique source for you. If you not, don't worry, you would become a photographer.. It's ineluctable not to fall in love with it's nature. It's obviously out of this world..

Coney Islander

Last Friday I went to Coney Island with my lovely friends. Actually, the weather was not good but it worth to see the view of the beach. I supposed to take some sun tan, so I wore my swim suite, took my beach towel and slippers before going to there. I guess, the sun had read my mind and it didn`t let me to do my plans. Anyways, I could take some nice pictures eventhough the cloudy weather..

 The beach is calling you.. But, what the reason of this sign.. "No Swimming." For whom..? How can you stand not to swim after see the that kind of endless and pure beach.. I don`t care..

 I think these two litte birdy are thinking the same think. It`s so hard to block your-self to obey the signs. Eventhough the widny weather!

Once upon a time D.C.

I realized that I haven`t wrote anything to my blog for a long time..So, I think it would be good for me and my blog to add some new ideas, pics or experiences.. Anyways, I always interested in photography and recently my interest is getting more.. I`m trying to take more pics as much as I can, even if I don`t have a professional camera.Well, they are still good but I stuck in to buy a good DSLR camera..For now, it looks impossible to buy one but, sooner or later I`ll.. For this post I want to share some pics from my D.C trip..  The city was really good. It was so quite. We arrived D.C. on Friday night and there was nobody in the street on Friday night.. It was so different after the NYC, `coz on Friday nights, the crowded don`t let you walk in the streets..This was the first thing that I really shocked.. Another difference is the subway.. subways also quite, too.. You can`t eat, can`t listen music loudly, can`t get in the subway with a pet or with your bcycle.. It`s not allowed. You can see the carpet on the floor of the subway and the seats are really comfortable.. but in NYC, it looks like there is an underground world in the subways... It`s so noisy, crowded and dirty than the D.C.`s subways.. Well, actually if  NYC is your first stop in the USA, it would be strange for you to adapt the other states..
But then D.C. is a nice city.. (Just for vacation..) .. And here some shots from my trip.. Here we go..

Summer..

This summer holiday was different than the other ones and it was wonderful. One of my sister lives in abroad and she organized a family holiday for us. It was really surprise for us. Our last family holiday was almost 17 years ago.


The most beautiful place to go for a vacation is Antalya in Turkey. So we went to Belek in Antalya, which is one of the famous touristic province in Antalya. We stayed in Vera Club Hotel Mera, which has five stars, and everything was wonderful. Especially the food.. It's possible to find every kind of food and each of them really delicious. 

When we want to move around the city we planned a course for the beautiful waterfalls.. There are lots of waterfalls that worth to see. Such as Duden Waterfall, Manavgat Waterfall, Kursunlu Waterfall.. But my favorite one is Duden Waterfall. It is located on on a huge land and the view of it worths everything.. The most amazing part of this waterfall is you can go the behind of the waterfall.. Don't worry, you don't get wet anymore!..

If you get a chance to go to the Turkey, you should see the Antalya and the beautiful waterfalls. I can guarantee that you will never feel any regret for it..

For the last..I bet that the Burger King in there has the most attractive scenic in the world.. Don't believe..? Think again after see this pic below..
